Digital Exhibitions

I was hired to develop several Digital Exhibitions for the University Museum and Gallery (UMAG) at the University of Hong Kong, using Getty’s open source system Quire.

This work led to developing three digital exhibitions for the Denver Art Museum, including:

Working with Quire was a refreshing change, as it is a publishing tool that supports multiple outputs. Not only was I was producing a web-based digital exhibition, but for some projects, there was also an ePub and PDF version. Quire creates a static website, which protentially creates a longer lasting website with minimal or no maintenance. This appeals to me because of the increase in support costs that have grown over the years.

After learning about and working Quire, I would highly recommend it for many projects and I can imagine how a lot of websites I created at the University of Hong Kong should have been built with a static system like Quire.
